NYC, NY area Z4 owners
Anyone here frequent Cars and Coffee or Cars and Croissants?
I have been looking for a few months now to pick up a 3rd car since selling my E39, and have narrowed it down to the Z4 and a few other choices. Problem is, I am interested in the Z4 purely on my previous experience with the N52 engine of my E90. I loved that engine. And I love the proportions of the Z4. But sadly I have never driven one. Just want to see if I can meet up with anyone in the area during one of these events to get an idea on the owner experience before cross shopping and test driving the competition. P.S. Other cars I am considering are: 1. Z4M / Z4 3.0si 2. 996 Carrera 4S 3. 2007 and up Boxster S 4. CLK 550 5. CLK 63 6. Audi TT (I plan an APR tune) 7. E46 330ci 8. E60 550i (oddball) R. |

LOL thanks. That's perfect!!! Not looking for a test drive just a close up look from an actual owner. Z4's around the Central NJ area are scarce.
The next C&C event is June 7 at Interstate Motorsport. Anyone else interested? R. |

Well, if you're ever in the mood to visit St. John's Newfoundland, there is a direct flight on United here out of Newark. This place is ROTTEN with E85's and lately, E89s. Heck, two of the guys I grew up with have Z4 3.0SI's like mine and I spot a "new" E85 it seems, every other week or so. Saw a Z8 here last week too.

Planet Honda in Union Davis Hyundai in Trenton But I agree, for some reason DC always has the most used Z4's for sale in the Northeast. I have a theory that you see more Z4's for sale the further south you go, which also brings lower prices due to higher supply. When I was looking I found quite a few more in NY/NJ compared to Boston, but DC had way more. They are non-existent when you go further north to NH/VT/ME. Go to FL or CA if you want the best deal on a roadster. |

Hope it's a Boxster S or else don't waste your time. Why not a Cayman?

Yah, I tend to leave the top up on morning commutes, but it's always down on my evening commute as long as it's above 50 and not raining. I was never a convertible guy, but I love hearing the engine and road noise now.
