Check engine code? Help smh

Fellow ///M guys, my check engine showed up and I did get my coder and got the codes.. It's P2247, P0304 and P0050.. It said I'm having a miss fire (p0304)and some temp issue with the code (P0050). Not sure about the p2247..
If I'm changing the spark plugs co my mileage is 77k miles already should I also change the coil packs? Thank you guys

You might as well try the plugs first & see what happens.
Although at 77K it wont be long until coils are needed anyway.

P0050 code

On my 2007 Z4 M Coupe, I have a “Code P0050 -ho2s Heater Circuit Bank 2 Sensor 1” which I have been told is one of the four oxygen sensors before and after the catalytic converters.

Garage List
“Code P0050 -ho2s Heater Circuit Bank 2 Sensor 1” tell you EXACTLY which O2 sensor it is.

http://www.shipkiller.com/O2-Sensor_...eshooting.html

In a BMW and most other cars with four (4) O2 sensors, these sensors are labeled. You have 'upstream' sensors, O2 sensors that are between the engine exhaust manifold and the Catalytic Converter(s) . You also have 'downstream' sensors, O2 sensors that are after the Catalytic Converter(s).

On BMW's six cylinder engines, there are two "banks" of cylinders. Bank 1 is cylinders 1-3 and bank 2 is cylinders 4-6.
The upstream O2 sensors are labeled B1S1 and B2S1. Bank1, Sensor1 and Bank2, Sensor 1 respectively. The downstream sensors are B1S2 and B2S2.

I had to replace both of my upstream sensors over the last few months. Neither is what I would call "easy" to get to. At first I had an error for the bank 2 sensor. I replaced it and everything was fine for about a month. Then I got a code that the bank 1 upstream sensor was "unplugged". I think this just means it's not working. Once I replaced the bank 1 sensor, the car ran so much better. The sensor that was replaced was black as coal and looked like it was plugged up. I can see why it wasn't working properly. Things are great now though.

How much are the sensors guy? I just changed my ignition coil and apart plugs on cylinder 4 knowing that it was cylinder 4 from the code P0304.. After I change it nothing has change.. So it's actually the P0050 and P2247.. So are y'all telling me I just need to change my sensors? Ask them and its $180 each sensors.. :/ and my idling is also playing around moving from 700 to 900 rm.. I think my idle control valve needs some cleaning

Question P0050 - Heated Oxygen Sensor (H2OS) Bank 2 Sensor 1

"Check engine light on"

I bought a Heated Oxygen Sensor for Bank 2 Sensor 1..

I read that sometimes water gets inside the heated oxygen sensor, which can cause the fuse to blow.

It said to check the Oxygen Sensor fuse.

I checked the fuses and the card behind the glove box does not specify which fuse would control the Qxygen Sensor.

Does anyone know which fuse controls the Oxygen Sensor?

Thanks

That's a good point to check the fuse too.. I was actually going to clean my idle control valve and let's see if that would help

Inside the housing for the DME is a small fuse box. It's the black box on the lower left side of the pic that says 30A, 20A, etc.

At jumbo sock.. I saw and open the cover but I can't get that black/fuse container to open.. How do you open it to check if the fuse is good?

I'll have to go home and check as I can't remember exactly. But if I recall correctly the lid slides to the side a bit before it comes off. I'm thinking maybe slide it towards the driver seat and then up. I'll try to post later.

Jehs.... is the car running bad? if not, just clear the code and drive it for 10 miles - if the SES light comes back, then make sure all your O2 cables/wires are clean and not burned. One of mine some how touched the header-cat and burn the plastic exposing the wire causing a short out and made the light come on. You def... want to check those 5 fuses... they are a bit of a pain to get the black box out, but once it comes out the top cover slides to the right and then you can push all the fuses up very easily. If one fuse is burned... the SES will stay one no matter what.

Keep us post it. Good luck.

Jeff.
