Clutch issues...
I have an 06 MCoupe with a JB lightweight flywheel and clutch. The clutch is stiffer than OEM as far as pedal feel.
The problem is that the pedal has to be on the floor to disengage the clutch. If I am sitting still with the clutch pedal on the floor and put in into 1st, the car moves a couple inches. It seems to get worse as it gets hotter. Shifting is not great either from gear to gear. Maybe the clutch needs to be bled or is there any adjustment on the car?? Where is the bleed valve for the clutch? Thanks for any info. Last edited by bluecobra; 05-02-2012 at 09:05 AM.. |

Sounds like your clutch needs to be bled.

Just what I was looking for.....another reason to lay under the car and potentially get some kind of fluid all over me.
Thanks for the info. It will give me something to do this weekend.... |

Yeah, the CDV mod has already been done.
I think the problem is the aftermarket clutch not being self-adjusting like the OEM clutch. I tried bleeding it and it did not help any. Gonna take it to my mechanic. He thinks he may be able to adjust it somehow. Oh, and I am in Bham. |
