Although you need a compressor to use it, seems like an effective way to flush and you can use it to remove old fluid from the master reservoir as well. Half the price of the motive pressure bleeder which is appealing to me given the very few times I'll be using it.
You need a compressor with a fair amount of CFM to use one of these. If you use one of the 2 or 3 gal tank pancake compressors or something similar they'll only pull for a short time and then you have to wait for the pressure to build up again.

Good tip, wasn't thinking of doing that. Will give the bleeder screw a squirt of PB Blaster for safe measure.

On another note, can anyone suggest the best way to clean the surface of the caliper? I'm thinking just soap and water and a scrub brush or simple clean and a scrub brush. Figured I'd give them a freshening while I'm in there.

I have a Dewalt 15 gallon 5 cfm compressor which should be plenty. Since i already have that on hand i figured the vacuum bleeder would be the most cost effective way to do it and I like the idea of not needing a separate catch container.

Brake Cleaner.

Don't even need soap and brush. Just spray and let dry. Works wonders.

Yes, it's friction fit.
Just pop it out with a small screw driver
