Wtb: Dinan Air Scoop / Housing / Airbox

Hi there,

I've reached out to multiple dealers as well as Dinan directly.

The air scoop that goes behind the kidney grill is no longer made by Dinan.

I'm really interested in this part. If you have it...I'd like to chat.

PM Me or reply to this thread.

Is the air intake any different between 3.0i & the others?
If not RPI makes a scoop.

RPI scoop doesn't really suit my fancy. Here's why...

DINAN Scoop

The RPI scoop is a teaspoon compared to the Dinan ladle.

ahh yes, I remember that one now.
I suspect they will be a rare part to find at this point,
GL with the search.

Not sure where the air inlet on a stock airbox is as I ditched mine years ago when I went FI.
I did however use 3" ABS piping and fittings to fashion the air duct to force feed the air from behind the kidney to the supercharger inlet piping.
Not sure it makes any difference honestly but can't hurt.

I've done a lot of searching (over 15 dealers) and no one has the part. Dinan hasn't made it because the mold broke over 2 years ago and wasn't worth retooling.

From the research I've done (mostly based on stats from Eventuri) a scoop in this area can make a decent difference. BUT this is based on speed, the faster you go the more air flow the scoop will generate.

I actually likes how the Eventuri mounts much better than RPi. Unfortunately Eventuri don't have any interest in just selling their scoops on its own
