Were my fenders rolled by the previous owner?

Today I checked to see how much space I had to spare between the tire and the fender and noticed that on both sides the fender lip seems to be uneven. On the front, the fender lip starts off parallel to the tire tread, but then tapers off an inch or so after that. Is that how it came from the factory or was this done by the previous owner?

That definitely looks like some work was done.

Mine are uniformly shaped all the way through from end to end

I don't think it would make any difference, but is yours an M car or a non-M?

here is a pic after I rolled my fenders. wheel is 18X10 enkei NT03 and tire is 275/35 nitto NT01.
