I'm back in the saddle!

After having to sell my 06 Z4 3.0si several years ago after my divorce. I have been saying the whole time, I'm going to get another Z eventually as I haven't driven anything that was close to as much fun as that car.

Today is the day.

Just finished making a sweet deal on a 2007 3.0si, with all the right options, Sport seats, prem package, sports package, and 6speed. And get this. 39K miles.
Garage kept, minty fresh.

I'm getting a PPI now and hopefully I can pick it up by the end of this week.

Stay tuned for pics.

So excited, even if its going to sit in my garage this winter.

Congrats. I bought mine in the middle of last winter and had to watch it sit in the garage for months before going out for my first drive! I actually had it delivered right to my garage on a flatbed because it had summer tires on it.

Congrats!
Time to play some Aerosmith and draft a prenup to cover the new one.

Nice, you added some pictures. NickyC has the same spoiler. Is that OEM?

I was going to ask you guys about that spoiler. I haven't seen that on any other Z4s, I don't think its OEM.

Congratulations and welcome back! The car looks pristine and I particularly like that spoiler on these cars. If we can find out where to get them I'd be in for a group buy if that were possible.

Although winter is close, maybe you can spend some of it doing the wax and detail thing. I find that's a pleasant way to spend a few hours, particularly if you have a garage and can put on some good tunes while you work.

I am pretty sure that is the OEM BMW rear spoiler:

Cool. Thanks for the link.

Looking at some different shifter knobs now for my first mod. That and I'll probably get the clear acrylic wind breaker that I had before.

It's even cheaper on Rockauto. They currently have 1 left in stock for $185.99 and get this: they will even paint it for you if you give them your BMW color code. They're selling the primed version for only $104.89. Damn, it does look good ... I am so tempted to just order this myself!

Hopefully I can get the current one off without killing myself. Sounds like a challenge from what I've been reading.

Another Pic from when I picked it up last night.

It looks identical to the BMW one, but I'm not sure if they are sourcing an aftermarket copycat or if it's actually OEM because Dallas Automotive sells both. Rockauto said this about Dallas Automotive on their website:

Dallas Automotive Restyling manufactures and distributes a full line of high quality aftermarket rear spoilers. They have been a prominent player in auto restyling for over 20 years. With their ability to manufacture parts in-house, they are first to market with the latest releases and are committed to providing top of the line auto spoilers across the globe.

They offer the chance to buy custom & factory style spoilers directly from the manufacturer, offering quality, convenience, and pricing that is unmatched.

Paint : The finishing touch to any Dallas Automotive Restyling Spoiler is to have their certified finishing department paint it to match the vehicle's exterior. They use PPG Automotive Refinish on all of their spoilers and will paint your part in any paint code you provide. Select "Painted" in the dropdown list and enter your paint code in the shopping cart before you check out.
