Low Mileage Z4MR becoming a Daily

Hi All,

I recently decided to sell my second car and give the Z4MR the attention it deserves.

The car has 4,000 miles and has been sitting on a battery tender for most of its life. Oil has been changed every 6 months, but no other maintenance items have been performed.

Since i'm going to be daily driving the car now, what are some good preventive maintenance items to do now?

1) Replace battery
2) Brake fluid flush
3) any other recommendations?

Condition the leather if you haven't already.

You will need new tires after sitting around for almost 10 years. Most Z4M owners gone through at least a few sets.

This is a good point. I didn't know until recently that tires have an expiration date. They stamp the year they were produced on the side. I've seen some people say don't use a tire more than 7 years old, but 10 years seems to be the cut-off for the majority. My Z4MR had the original tires on the front. I just replaced with Michelin PSS. Love the new tires. I went up to 19's, and I am waiting for my coilovers to arrive, so I can lower the car a bit.

I work from home, but use my Z4MR as a daily. It's surprisingly practical. The trunk has plenty of storage, and it's comfortable.

considering the OP has posted a pic of his car with aftermarket wheels in 19" which complimenting tyres id guess he doesnt need to replace the stock items...

just a guess tho....
