i drove a stock M car

my friend was test driving a M coupe so i decided to hop in the driver seat to see how much different mine is. all i can say is

my car has more power and overall a better feeling than a stock Z4M. ive got so used to my SSK that when i used the stock shifter all i could say was WTF.

modding FTW

I also have driven the new M3s,135,335,RS4 all stock and i never get disappointed getting back into my car.

x2, I think our Z4M may be the last back to basics BMW.

I thought your car "had no power" and was always having problems?

Seems unlikely that & Filter plus exhaust would have made a noticeble difference...but I'm sure you have a well calibrated butt dyno.

i know it must be hard to say when your car is stock

im not saying my car was a lambo compared to it. just that there are many things that can be modified to the Z4M to make them that must better

I believe that your car is better than stock, and I'm sure your transmission feels and works much better, and I also believe you when you say you're car has more power.

All I'm saying is I dunno if I'd notice a 5-10 hp increase between cars.

Effect is psycho-somatic. In all reality the difference is the car you and your friend drove probably isn't broken in yet. I drove a relatively new MZ4 Coupe a couple of weeks ago and it's night and day compared to my 16,000 mile 2006. It's like my car's got 20-30 more HP easily. The difference? The other coupe I drove only has 800 miles.

Unless your MZ4 Coupe has a supercharger in it, I can guarantee you it's all in your mind (or in the fact that the car's nicely broken-in).

Where did your friend drove the car? on a street, freeway or track?
