Been doing quite a bit of research on this recently in preparation for this coming SCCA AS season. For ref stock rims are 100.96lbs total weight.

SSR's get a bad rep for being soft but I believe they've got new management and apparently have new production processes. Always been a fan of Competition wheels.

Still seems to me that the APEX ARC-8 are the best bang for your money.

I'm gonna add the posted weights to that spreadsheet later today. Keep in mind that if you go wider, even though the wheel weighs less, the tire can weigh a lot more. Ex stock tire up front is 23lbs, and my 265mm RE-11 is 28lbs. But thats a bit off topic.

I LOVE LOVE my te-37s at 17.5lbs for 18x9, but if money was no object, I'd get Dynamag wheels for the weight savings

I'm curious as to why some wheels are not legal? Does it have to do with strength or what?
