How were they/you able to determine that one of your shocks was bad?

well my alignment was coming out. and they said the shock had just gone bad no details. they said most likely a manufacture flaw. my car seems to have quite a bit of manufacture flaws. diff.....shock....window seal.

yep but even with aluminum body it is still heavy. An M5 would school it pretty hard. I love Audis but would rather have an M5 than a S8.

Friend of mine owns an R32. Nice enough, but I liked the MB CLK 350 coupe he traded in for it better. His R32 hauls butt, though.

LOL it's funny the older you get, you can't give two hoots about street racing.
I can't remember the last time I raced anyone on the street but still, a secret part of me still finds it interesting how you went against various things I didn't think the GTO would get in front, we have a zillion of those in Australia since they are an Aussie car and I was thinking of getting something like that next as a cheap runabout since I just sold the M. But I thought of it as a big downgrade in performance. Looks like they can still hold their own, at least in a straight line anyway, good news |

i dont understand how this issue could be what caused the R32 to pull on you. The shock being bad would have no affect on that and the alignment i can only see being a problem if it was extremely off but it would have to be so bad that it was undriveable.
