Lexus LC500

I think the Lexus is sweet, it's kind of Jaguaresque but I don't know if I can get past the Grill.....

Recently viewed at the Detroit Auto Show, some other nice rides in the attached newspaper article. The M2 is interesting.

If this car is not rolling on the Toyota Avalon chassis as the RC does, which I am quite certain it's not, then it's the first Toyota "Lexus" to use the new BMW developed chassis for BMW and Toyota applications.

The front is the best iteration of the spindle grille so far, but it's still so oversized it is actually cartoonish.

The rear valance was designed by someone that gets easily confused because it's a disaster.

And who wants a "Special Toyota" for $100,000 with swoopy coupe styling with not enough firepower under the hood?

A lot of old people will buy it because it's not a 6 Series.

I went back to look if I could find something I liked.

The rear taillights, kind of. Interesting and draws the eye. It was all ruined again when I took a better look at the rear quarter. Nastiest hips on a car ever.

I feel as though Lexus design these days is the vehicular equivalent of J-Lo's song Booty. Trying so hard, to be something its not, even if at times it used to be "it"....it's not anymore. Who cares what you had it insured for back in the day, its not the same now. Stop trying so hard.

I guess I'll be the weirdo and say that I don't mind it that much...

Certainly a damn sight better than this:

I'd rather take avant garde than bland. Remember what people thought of the z4s when they first came out?

The first shot of the car isn't bad, but that grill. Dang! Maybe the wide-angle lens is accentuating it, and it isn't as bad in person. It's horrible in the photo. Interesting headlights.

Digs, you nailed it!

Front grill is a little bit too much, but over all I kind of like it
