Interesting Switch

I live in Tulsa and there has been a 2006 IB Z4M coupe for sale at the local dealership for a couple of months. It is NOT a CPO because apparently there was a lapse in one of the scheduled maintenance items--even though it has only 12.6k miles. The price had been lowered to only $27.9k and I got an email just last Thursday from the dealership as they listed this as one of their weekend "specials". Tonight though, it is listed on autotrader at Advantage BMW in Houston at a price of $32.5k. I checked the VIN numbers to make sure they were the same car. My guess is that the two dealers share common ownership. Strange, huh especially since the Tulsa dealer advertised it as a special just last Thursday?

I think sometimes dealerships do wholesale swaps for cars that may fare better in a different market. My guess is that the Tulsa folks tried to sell it in one last-ditch attempt, but failed, and ended up trading with the Houston dealership, who might have some local interest lined up.
