Installing Tuner, Where to Tap for Positive?
Full disclosure, I am 100% newb when it comes to car audio/video. With that said, I'm going to install an Alpine HD tuner in conjunction with my Intravee. I have all the adapters necessary to tap into the factory antenna. However, one basic question is where to tap the power?
The manual here on page 7 shows it being connected to the positive terminal of the battery. I'm assuming it needs a constant positive source, but can't I simply tap into the positive wire of any trunk lights? http://support.alpine-usa.com/produc...TUA-T550HD.pdf |

No, I tried finding a consistent o(in the trunk) with the wiring, and couldn't find any.
Your battery is right there, that works. You have have to run the power line up to the tuner.

The center pin of the 3 pin CD changer connection is unswitched power.
