Opinions on this 06 M Roadster, possible purchase

Looking for some thoughts on this 06 roadster I'm considering. They are asking $25k, that's their starting point. Cool owner, straight forward, nothing to hide, no worries there.

99k miles, 4 owners, pretty meticulously kept by the current owners who bought it at 71k miles in 2015. Has extended leather and from the database of M roadsters, it's the only one with this spec - alpine white, extended sepang bronze leather, no nav, no heated seats.

What I know it's had done, some with known mileage at time of service, some not, in no particular order:
@90k - vanos sealing plate (not Besian seals, I think OE BMW), valve clearance check/adjust

@97k - motor mounts, constant pressure oil valve

other work, not sure of mileage but likely since 71k miles:
pinion seal, plugs/coils, vanos filter 2x, a/c compressor and o-rings, trans shift rod seal, output shaft seal and trans fluid

Brakes - "still good wear left"....new tires (Falken pro g5 sport a/s...meh), wheel powdercoated gunmetal and ceramic coated, looks nice.

Has not had rod bearings done but has had continuous Blackstone analysis done, numbers reported steady, for what that's worth.

What would your concerns be? I'm thinking rod bearings are inevitable and probably sooner than later to be safe. Stuff that may be in the near future could be guibo, front and rear main seals, shocks/struts, suspension bushings, wheel bearings. Belts and tensioners. Roof mechanism issues?

Would like any input. I think he's high on price for the mileage and work that may need to be done sooner than later. I'm not afraid of actually doing any of the work that it may need, it's all within my skill set, it's just the amount of things that may come up going forward into 100k+ miles territory. It would make an awesome companion to my M coupe though from how it's specd.

Trans mounts, suspension bushings and such, rod bearings, engine mount bolts, and fluids (engine oil, gear oil, diff oil, coolant, brake, and clutch) are what come to mind first. I'm assuming that since 'some' work to the VANOS has been done, that it doesn't sound like a bucket of marbles. I'm not a vert owner so I can't speak mich into the top and related bits.

How is the top? I paid $17,500 for my 2008 Z4si with only 41K in October! And for a 15-year car, it was in excellent condition. But it was NOT an "M" car (none around)! It seems high to me with that mileage but only you can decide on that. Another thing, insurance may not value a 06 Z4M with 100K miles at that price. NADA values on my Z4 at $11,000!

Thanks, yep, same thoughts here. I assume the top is in good condition and works ok, I'll have to see it in person. I know they can be problematic, and I don't know if it's had any work done on it in the past. It has had regular fluid changes - all of them he reports. I also assume it's not going to be a really rattly vanos, but I know it has not been dug into so far as to change cam bolts, for example. I'd go ahead and rebuild it with Besian stuff, maybe do both the pump disc and hub due to the mileage. My coupe is only at 35k miles, so I only did a pump disc with it, seemed most logical thing to do.

I am right there with you, M or not, his starting point is, I think, $2-3k too high. Seems like a lot, but from more or less following the market for the last few months, cars in similar condition, or a bit worse, with 70k miles are going for $24-25k.

Wow, thanks for that, completely missed it. Yep, like it better. But does give me frame of reference to negotiate on this one if I end up staying local.
