What is this bolt???!!!???
Found by some detailer just a few moments ago, this was rolling around under the seat. Look familiar?

That is one of the two (on each side) bolts that fasten the softop frame to the chassis.
As you can see from the posted diagram, the bolt(s) transverse through the side 'dogbone' on the softop frame. edit: Here are the access points.. Last edited by Shipkiller; 12-31-2013 at 07:37 PM.. |

So this is (roughly) how you can get to them/give an idea where they're supposed to be:
(dodgy images from TIS) If you had your softtop motor replaced it could be that the mechanic dropped the bolt (and lost it) and screwed in a new one (so that all 4 bolts are in place anyhow ) edit: shipkiller has better photos than TIS |
