Interior door handle trim
Hi Guys,
my right hand side interior door handle trim is damaged and I'd like to change it. I'm referring to the part in red. I'd like to know how hard it is to remove/reinstall and which part should I choose from RealOEM as there are many? thanks! |

This part is easy to remove and replace. I've purchased the parts from my dealer and swapped them out in the parking lot with just my fingers on my old 3.0Si coupe. These panels just snap in and out.

Looks like the 'Chrome Line' interior I have on mine, with the shiny steering wheel and door handle trim. I believe you've got the right parts circled with the 'Perlglanzchrome'.

thanks guys
how can I know for sure if I indeed have the chrome line interior? My sterring wheel does have the shiny bits but the door handles are the same aluminium look as my dash trim, they're not chrome... |

All of them should be the same regardless whether have the trim package or not and if you are just wanting to know for yourself you should be able to call up your local dealership and give them the vin and they should be able to tell you if it came with that trim package.

FYI: Don't rip or pry straight out. Pull the silver cover down towards the floor and then it will fall right off. I pulled mine straight out with a trim tool and the tabs bent. Luckily they were forgiving enough to squish back into place.

That di noc is amazing and very easy to apply and with a heat gun it's about impossible to wrinkle. If you do go that route make sure you get all silicones of and use the 3m 94 primer around the edges. Its like a cleaner /promoter. It also has a life of about 10 to14 year life span as long as it doesn't sit in the sun all the time. Just really neat stuff and is offered in 7 colors and it's actually textured. Also a great tip there from wantiv about the diseasesmble!

You'll have to look at your vin as the side handles do indeed come in different finishes, their is the base warm metallic look and the more silver look as well as the chrome line option.
The M cars came with those handles standard I believe, the non M's have the warmer silverish look. Just want to let you know their not all the same color. |
