Passenger wiper blade doesn't sit flush with glass at end? Normal?

The previous owner had Rain X wipers on the the roadster and I noticed the passenger blade had about a 1/2 - 1" at the end not touching the windshield. I took them out and replaced them with Bosch ICONs (they're also precurved wipers) and the passenger one still doesn't touch the windshield at the end of the blade. I made sure I purchased the correct size by doublechecking the wiper catalogs and asking the guy at the store. 21" driver and 20" for passenger.

Is this normal? What gives?

The Icons and others are universal fit blades, not Z4 specific.
But with the flex type of blades you can shape them a bit. (gently)
I did the same the same thing on another car & it worked great.

just followed your advice this afternoon and was able to shape the blade to the glass. now hoping it doesn't have any plastic/rubber memory and work its way back to the original shape over time....i might have to take a heat gun to it if it does.

Yeah I'm not sure if the bend trick will work with the flat blades. I'm using pre-curve blades (RainX, Bosch ICONs, etc) and the bend trick worked very well for me. We had some crazy weather here in NY, temps dipping to 20s in the evenings and hitting 60s on the weekend. The blade hasn't gone back to its original shape and still sits flush with the windshield and works well. Get yourself pre-curved blades and do the bend trick next time you replace your wipers.
