Hey vicj,
I'll tell if you will. Big hint: The car I drove in college was a rusty 240Z and I Autocrossed it to death long before most of the respondents in this thread were born...

hahaha, that's awesome. I had a similar experience. I worked briefly as a trashman at a hospital shortly after graduating (financed my beach bum ways) the hospital staff always gave me wtf looks as I got into my brand new red bmw roadster with my trashman uniform on.

In college I drove a '73 Nova SS, with an Impala 454, and dual Webers. I had taken out the back seat and installed a mattress. Shag carpet. Craig head unit and Kraco speakers (wow). Man, that car was FLY!
Go fast, never try to turn!

I think we were both beaten by 773h-HO a couple posts above, however.

Let's see, the average age so far seems to be about 24 or so. 24 years ago, I was driving the very FIRST CRX-Si imported to the US. It was my FOURTH car. God I'm old. I think I've been driving BMW's since before most of these kids were born.

IT guys with taste

I don't know if you noticed though but usually the very Best of IT guys drive old beat up hondas and rarely go out. Where all their money goes, I have no idea. I guess it just sits in their bank account. Me, I spend it

51, Financial professional in the aerospace industry. I got my first new car in college--a '79 320i. I can assure everyone that today's BMW's are a whole lot more reliable than they were back then. However, having this car forced me to learn how to work on BMW's for myself.
