Pictures from Nurburgring trip and Spa trackday
Nurburgring, 11/5/2008 - waaaaaaaay too many cars and bikes turned up, was ridiculous
Arrived at 8:30, field was still relatively empty, so we parked close to the entrance After we each did 1 lap, the track got closed, and the field was already full of cars by now A whole lot of awesome in 1 picture A VW? mad ballin, son I ended up doing 2 laps with an instructor, one with me driving, one with him driving my car, which was quite an eye opener Spa Francorchamps, 12/5/2008 the Evo 8 owner and me shared a pit garage me leaving the pits with an instructor probably Rivage... bodyroll like (me in the silver helmet this time) |

youtubed the last 4 laps I did at Spa
and before you ask, yes I was blasting DJ Tiesto with the top down wanted it to feel like a relaxed sunday drive for the girl onboard driving line is ok but I'm braking very early and gently into the corners to take it easy on the brakes full size video is 138MB: http://shiyanthegreat.com/ot/Z4/2008...0Spa/4laps.avi Last edited by shiyan; 05-13-2008 at 07:40 AM.. |

omg why can't we have a track like that hereeeeee
they allow you to run with the top down? most places i know require the top being up...not that it really makes any difference to the person inside lol

Organizers of the trackday make you sign a form which absolves the organizers and track from any responsibilities if you mess up. I was one of the few open topped cars though. The Ring is just "public road", so it's anything goes as long as it's road legal |

we sat next to each other on a couch, she used my lap as an armrest a few times, I got a little excited and we went on a few dates the trackday actually came way too soon (only met her recently) but she was cool with it, said she understood it's not something that comes up all that often afterwards she said the trackday was exciting but she felt safe with me driving... I'm hoping that's a good thing |

still quite fobbish (not that I mind) so I'm not totally familiar with the customs she's used to, but I'm really relieved she's into cars after the trackday at Spa we got halfway to the Ring before I decided it would be too late to try and do a lap there, so we turned back, but before that we took some photos (like the one with the windmills and the field with yellow flowers) Last edited by shiyan; 05-14-2008 at 03:35 PM.. |
