San Francisco in general is a great platform for photography. To name a few places out of the city, I like Fort Mason. Lots of space and great scenery. Another good one would be Pier 39, which is also known as Fishermans Wharf. Delicious seafood, awesome scenery, but as a downside once noon time hits it's a pretty heavily populated area. Great nonetheless.
