Finally! OFFICIAL Turbo Z4 M COUPE DAILY BUILD THREAD!

Hey guys!

Im new here, I know, but I have been lurking for a while. I am rebuilding a wrecked 07 M coupe with more than just body panels, however.

I will be updating this thread over the next couple of weeks with pictures, as the car is repaired and turbo kit is fitted.

I will be working with several companies, whom I wont mention until the end of the build and its success.

But, after all these years, someone found a good solution on being able to tune these "turbo" cars, and I will be the first person/future distributor for them.

Anyways,
so the start.

By first person I mean, based in the United States. There are currently 3 turbo M coupe Z4s, one of which is making nearly 1000WHP on a built motor.

They exist, they work, and they will now be accessible by the general market after my trial!

A few things to note here: you're not the first in the US, the "working" ones don't really work as they should, and I'll check back in two to three years when you finish the tuning... Trevor's car (which seems to be the inspiration of your build) has been through three or four standalone ECUs and two and half years of tuning, so I don't think your car will be much different. Good luck though.

Actually, there have been 2 attempts in the USA for these. HPF failed, and the last one which was done by lab 22 worked but the owner decided to go to flex fuel, and they faced new issues they couldnt resolve and parted the car out.

Who is trevor? I know of basar who has a stand alone/e46m3 ecu and the cluster doesnt function along with many other options.

Actually there have been working turbo cars, though far from daily drivers.

The first one I saw was Mike Essa's drift car - a 2.5i with a turbo S54 swap. Practically nothing on that car was stock.
