Roadster body flex noise?

Hey Roadie owners,

Do you ever hear noise caused by body flex when you hit a slope at an angle? Most parking lots around here are 2ft or so higher than the roadbed with a slope leading into them. When I hit one these at a non-90 angle, like turning right into a parking lot, I get a solid thunk from the dash area right in front of me. Is it just the body flexing or could I have a bad mount somewhere?

That sounds like the under hood strut braces need tightening. I do hear some flex in mine too. Don't think this is avoidable in an open roof car...

Thumbs up

Yep, sounds like the strut braces. I'll have the dealer check them. Wonder if that is also causing the vibrations I feel at 95MPH.

Thanks, Folks.

I'll check them. But I approach my car, wrench in hand, with great trepidation.

had the exactly the same thing in mine, took it to the dealership, they said stuts needed tightening...and...they said there was "plastic rubbing", making a almost knocking/clicking noise, they took off the steering wheel, cleaned and lubricated the steering column, since then no more noise

Add a Strut Brace It tends to help keep the front from flexing too extreme on the roadies... (Just need a Torque Wrench)

Tischer still has them cheaper than most places with free shipping.
