Airbag Light

i just swapped in a set of M seats today and after about a minute or 2 after I started the car, the airbag light came on.

I disconnected the negative side of the battery before I disconnected the seats thinking that should prevent a light from coming on.

Do I need to get the light reset? or will it shut off after a few days?

The airbag light will not reset itself....if it did then this forum and any other BMW forum would lose about half of their posts/readership. If all the connectors were the same, using like colored wiring then a code search will be needed to correct/then clear. Good luck, I just went through my first, and hopefully last, airbag light experience. John
