Pulling the stockers back off this weekend to permanently weld the tops on. Will weigh and also take pics of the innards. Will most likely do some porting/hole cutting while in there.
Their piping is just as the Warlocks in the link two posts up, just without the dumps. Did the SCCA at FedEx for a couple of years with my 03 Cobra. Once I found Summit, I never went back. May make an honest attempt to return next year with the M, but won't sign up for the entire year as my car was down more than it was running so I ended up paying for days I couldn't get to, etc.

Wait, what? They are chambered? I thought I remembered them being nearly straight through.

Going custom setup with Magnaflow #14815. Should be here by week's end then off to the bending shop to custom fit. Will decide on the resonator AFTER I hear the new sound.

Cool. I did a muffler delete, but am gound to return to oem muffler. Perhaps I will wait to are what you think about the magnaflow first. Many people seem to like the 14815 across the BMW spectrum.

Meh, the only options avail for us are either heavy and expensive. Or raspy. Just not for me.

Went completely custom. Picked up the Magnaflows and when we layed it out and talked about the resonating, etc. I was convinced to go a different route.
Aero Turbine #2525, custom stainless steel piping and stainless steel oval tips! Yes, I will put up pics and a vid within the next couple of days if you are interested. The bottom line is it is exactly what I wanted. Louder and deeper than stock but less volume and raspyness than muffler delete. Also, the exhaust tech says the stockers aren't worth gutting and reworking the inards.

Cool.
What were some of the tech's reasons against the Magnaflow as a resonator? Thanks

Weight, size, construction were the main reasons for not sticking with the magnaflows, specifically for my car. They stock tons of magnaflow mufflers, etc. just wasn't the right fit for my goal.
There is no real drone on the interior. Because the note is so low, I didn't find any issues on the highway ride back home. Much easier to live with than the muffler delete.

Looks really clean!
Who was the manufacturer for the tips? OEM Pipe diameter or did you have to use a reducer?

The tips are resonated stainless steel. They had shelves upon shelves of tips. Not sure of the brand. Since it was custom it was factory pipe size, all tig welded. I will most likely search for a rectangle black tip as I want to continue the black out theme. This is what we came up with out of his stock.

Just to clarify your comment on drone/resonance. If you compare the drone/resonance to the factory setup, how would you rate it? I would think that almost anything would be better then the muffler delete in terms of drone. TIA

Nice and clean, If it were me I'd try to raise the tips/muffler more and close the gap between the bumper
Btw are those overlays or did you spray your tails? |

Drone/resonance to factory stock I would say it's 2-3. Some sound but it is what I was looking for. I couldn't hear stock.
