E85 tune for a Z4M

Talked to Bren tuning. Says they have an E85 tune only for our car. Makes more power as E85 is similar to racing fuel(105 octane). Up to 30 hp compared to 20 on good 94 octane. Other than availbility can you see any harm in this. Hoses, fuel pumps? Will only run on e85 will not run on regular unleaded.

I agree. Gonna stick with Bren's 93 tune. It's badass enough.

Yeah don't you have to modify the fuel-delivery hoses and stuff in order to run E85 gas? I remember doing an engineering report on E85 for automotive use several semesters ago and that was the case.

I don't think our engines like all that corn do they?

Or does the mod change that requirement, something about no more than 10% or bad things happen?

Also from my experience with E85 fuel is it runs 5 to 7 MPG less than normal fuel.

Bren also has the reg 93 program also with 20hp to rear wheel tune(dyno with RPI scoops)proven . I have had the ESS and the Powerchip. Not really blown away by either. Going with Bren this time.

Luckily I have a regular gas station in front of my business that does not carry any ethanol in their tanks. I don't know how much longer they can keep that up but hopefully somethings well get repealed and we won't have to keep shoving that crap down our gas tanks. I run two trucks for delivery every day with 35 gallon gas tanks. With ethanol additive my tank mileage goes from 480 down to around 400-425 max, thats a loss of 50 miles. At 2.75 per gallon on regular unleaded you can see it costs me money to run ethanol gas.

Best regards

so before dismissing this, do we have any facts? dyno of the e85 tune? This would be so much cheaper than paying 7.99 a gallon for 100 oct.
