picking up my 06 M tomorrow... is there an IPOD hook-up standard?
i have a long drive to get it... an ipod would be helpful.
i know my 04 3.0 didn't... and installing one was difficult. |

My '07 M came with an auxiliary port (phono type plug) in the under-dash piece above the ashtray. Long term, you may want to look at the Intravee II, it was not hard to install at all for my Nav equipped car- if you don't have Nav you may be happy with the Dice unit.

You sure? It should be standard on all 07s...check under the right side of the climate controls...

Dice is available from www.EuropeanAutoSource.com
IntraveeII is available from www.BimmerNav.com (required Alpine KCA420i sold separately)

Typically it is mounted where it plugs into the CD changer wiring harness:

Thanks! Unforunately, it is different for nav & non-nav Z's. I'll keep shopping.
Been using the BMW installed IPod integration. Though it works OK, it can only play 5 pre-organized playlists (holding only 99 songs in each) and does not disply the song/artist. How do you like your IntraveeII? Kinda expensive huh?

The Intravee II /Alpine KCA420i combo can be had for about twice the price of the Dice but worth it IMO for an interface that works a LOT better......
