WTB Z4MC & *Questions* Help

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
None

Item Interest
I right now am leasing a 13' Z4 28i been a year and only 6k miles
Although I like the car I have always wanted a M and Z4 M coupe have been my dream car. How could I make this happen since the lease contract isnt over for 2years.
3 things i heard
I heard I could return it but I would have to pay the remaining fees
I could go to a dealer shop to see if they are willing to buy the car from the original dealer and +/- on to the new car i am trying to get.
I have heard about lease trade but dont know how that works

I did a pretty big down payment and wanted to know if that helps on this?

I am looking for a Z4 M Coupe 06-08
Prefer mileage around 50K (+/-) 10K

I also found a Z4MC on the web for 20gran but the mileage is 101K wasnt sure if this is a good deal.. (reliable)
I am planing on driving this car for 5 yrs (10k miles a year)

Sorry for the questions but please help
Thanks

If you can find an M to your liking at a dealer you may be able to trade in your current Z. I believe there are also several lease swapping websites out there but those would make me nervous because I think I've seen that the original lessee is still responsible for excess mileage and excessive wear (but I may be completely wrong on that or it's old info). Of course selling it for your payoff is also an option unless you have a very restrictive lease.

Respectfully, you're in a tight spot.

option 1:
Your big down payment helped bring down your payments, as you are pre-paying for the depreciation of the car with respect to the full lease term. Your lease terms state it will be valued at 35K post lease. Now, if you are able to return it to the dealer, the residual on this car should be well above 35K....probably 50K on this car. Could you get some down money back? The math works, but the lease agreement is another matter. Whatever you signed goes! You potentially have an option to exit the lease with a willing BMW dealer (subject to lease terms) and perhaps jump into a Z4M sitting on the lot. That last part is the difficult part--the dealers don't get many of these cars. In any event, read your lease terms and talk to a dealer to see what they could do (even if hypothetical inventory was in place).

option 2: swapalease is your friend.

Price sounds too high for 90k+ miles. The mileage isn't a problem if it was well maintained, but that's hard to know for sure. Plus some items will be worn and need replacing due to mileage. So the price should be under 20k, IMO.

Plenty of S54s out there are over 100k miles without major problems. But maintenance price will be well above what your maintenance is on a lease.
