Can you describe in a bit more detail the ride differences between the TCK's and the Eibachs+OE shocks? What springs rates did you have with the TCK's? Does the car ride more bouncy with the Eibach springs and OE dampers?

I don't know if it's me getting old. I'm thinking about going back to stock myself and just selling both my TCK and GC coilovers.

I'm going through and "de-modding" my car now, returning it to stock to sell and buy Makobimmer's AW one.

Is it me or is taking off the mods so much faster than putting them on?

The nice thing is I get to mod the new one all over again. I know they are the same mods, but I'm excited all over again... Maybe this is something I should do every couple years, say pick up an IB one next...

Eibach springs are softer than what I was running with TCK. The rear is more bouncy with OE dampers. I actually like the front better with OE dampers. It is not so jarring when going over bumps. I was running DA/SA with 500f/600r spring rates. I have not taken to track with my current setup for comparison. It will probably do fine for my driving skills.

It looks like you will eventually just sell the car as your life circumstances seem to be headed that way. I would say put emotions about the car aside and if you come to the same conclusion as me, then put it up for sale as-is or bring it back to stock and sell it. The in-between "de-modding" is just a painful process leading to the inevitable. Besides, a car sitting around is just losing value ...

Sorry to see this happen as you are a valuable member of the Z4M group.

Thinking about it a bit more.... I don't think I could tolerate keeping it in stock form.
If I de-modded, I'm sure the car would be gone soon there after.

I'm definitely not selling until I figure out what we're doing with downsizing (at least 2yrs)
Seems to me I just have to keep on tinkering & modding until its time to sell.

I'm sure it will be sold if we end up in a condo.
At that point I won't have the shop & resources I have now & that would drive me nuts, not being able to tinker with it.

how about you forget about de-modding for now, and just enjoy the car. 2 years is still far away.....when the time comes, you can make the best decision
