Did you guys get a tune that resolves the rpm dip?
I have been running the latest tune for a couple hundred miles in the AZ summer heat and I haven't had this issue

Great! Thanks! Seems I need to get in touch with Evolve for an update. I do wish they'd just send each update to everyone running their box...

I got the updated "final" tune from Evolve as well and loaded it today. On the test drive the rpm stumble was far less frequent but two of the three times that it happened it was severe, dropping to 500rpm. I also cleared codes before the drive and check after. No SES but it did have two 0000s and 2F65.

I flashed it last week but have not driven the car yet. I read for fault code but none exists but SES light was on. There are 4 instances of 2FDA as I recall. The "0000 No Fault Code description found !" is not present. I was going to read for fault code again but ran out of time. It will be another two weeks before I can drive the car. I stripped all polishes with Dawn to prep for claying my car. Office called and need to attend an emergency issue. The car been sitting in garage since. So need to polish the car before checking if new tune is a keeper.

Edit: On the stumbling issue. I redo my IAT wiring to make sure it connect to same color when tap into MAF wiring. It was one of the steps troubleshooting SES light. I noticed the car ran a bit better and don't stumble as bad like it would go down between 700rpm and 800 rpm.

Reviving this thread as my current experience from a recent install relates to this.

- 100 miles since install
- No SES light
- 3 trouble codes (confirmed no codes prior to install)

Anyone run into the same thing and was able to resolve?

Thanks,

I think pretty much everyone has this issue.

itdnwiwbp, Thanks for the response.

Are those codes enough to fail an OBD smog test?

My check engine light was on so definitely will fail smog. The latest software fixed this issue. My check engine light have not return since the latest software was flashed.

Same here. No CEL since the final tune. The codes are present but I don't know if they'd cause a failed smog test (if there's a blind tech performing the visual).

Just to a give an update and FYI on this... the codes will trigger a monitor to come on hence the car will fail smog.

I had a local indy shop that does maintenance on my car check... Box had to come off, revert back to a stock tune, ran some miles to pass smog. Kind of annoying to have to go through that. =(

Sorry to hear that, I'd keep bugging evolve about it mate, you can't just keep pulling your airbox off every year you have to do smog. That would suck hard.

FWIW I have a Karbonious Box with an Epic Tune and...

I don't have an idle issue and the RPMs never dip, however, I do have the three codes some mentioned

0000 Error location not marked
2F65 Brake booster, system check
2FDA crankcase ventilation, system check

I think this is just the nature of the mod, the car drives perfectly fine and I have no check engine light on, I assume the tune just masks it.
