In any event, OSU left the door open by losing to Iowa so it is what it is. If OSU beats Iowa, no question they would be in.

I think Clemson wins back-to-back, but my track record on predictions isn't so great so presumably it will be one of the other 3 that wins.

I told you this would happen over a week ago.

Not sure. The better matchup was picked. Clemson would have been a much bigger spread over OSU. Alabama has a lot of injuries. If some of them can heal in next few weeks, they have a good chance.

Ohio’s inconsistency lost them that #4 spot.

Really surprised USC isn’t #6. Wis has no big wins on their schedule, they should have dropped further.

I think I heard them say 3-loss Auburn is at 7, even though it wasn't formally announced. I know they beat 2 playoff team and 2 of the losses were to playoff teams, but 3 losses is still 3 losses.

If true, another shot at conf title wins. The remaining rankings should be available at 2pm est.

Yup. Definitely sending the message that it's better to avoid a tough game at the end of the season and rely instead on fewer losses and a couple of wins against teams ranked in the teens.

We learn today, not only do losses count as much as wins. But also it is how you lose those games and to whom you lose to. Play your schedule and be consistent.

Did you see they showed spreads for playoffs? Bama was 1 point favs...crazy.

Maybe you should be on the committee then? You can't say unequivocally... that's pretty extreme. The talking heads on TV we're evenly split between the two teams.

With all the drama done. There are some very entertaining bowl games. OSU vs USC, PSU vs Wash.

The UCF vs Auburn is very interesting, can UCF play with the big boys?

I know one thing, none of the other playoff teams have a QB playing anywhere near OU’s Baker Mayfield. OU just needs a serviceable defense to show up and they have a great chance.

If it comes down to them, I think OU offense vs. Clemson defense is a very interesting matchup. I think that could be a great game. No other combination of final 4 teams would be nearly as interesting to me and, other than my own team in the Orange Bowl (a game many won't be interested in), I'm only moderately interested in a few other bowls.

Eliminate conference title games, instead make all these teams play an out of conference game in a power conference. It would better help picking teams for the playoffs.

Until there is a change and "Conference championship games are eliminated".....I'm sticking with my assessment of strength of schedule and Conference winners outlook.
