EAS Valentine 1 mount in a coupe?
Just bought the EAS aluminum mount for the V1. First, I had a helluva time getting the thing installed...and now that it's on there, I can't adjust my mirror correctly. Has anyone else tried this on an M Coupe? I don't know if the mirror on the M is different, or if the positioning on the coupe is different than the roadster, but there's very little room between the mirror and the plastic cowl that covers the electronics, such that I can't move the mirror side to side very much with the mount in place.
And it was a bear to get on! Note to others trying: you need a small allen wrench for the large bolts and a T6 torx bit for the tiny bolts. Had to buy a cellphone screwdriver and bust off the plastic handle to get the bit in the tight space between roof and mirror! At the price they charge for this thing, EAS should have included a tool for this...

I've been running one for a long time, for use with my V1. I'm the only one that drives the car, so I almost never have to touch the center rearview mirror. And perhaps because I'm not particularly tall (or short for that matter), maybe the adjustment is perfect for me; such that I'm happy with the limited adjustment available post-install.
I totally agree with you on the fact that tools should've been included lol |

I have mine installed ABOVE and to the right of the rear view mirror. It is IMPOSSIBLE to see unless you're sitting inside the car. For roadster, EVEN with the top down.

I bought the Blendmount. It installed in less than a minute and seems rock steady. More importantly, it fits and allows me to adjust the mirror. It cost about 50% more than the EAS mount (which I'm RMAing) but will be worth it in the long run.
