We know, but you have to build the motor to do this reliably. This is still my daily driver.

And the flames are awesome.
Thanks, I will do runs on the dyno with the meth turned on and off.

I'm curious as well. I want to get this meth kit ordered and installed quick so I can do both comparisons while I'm there.

Entire kit weighs 113lbs (Vac Motorsports). This sound about right?

I'd say about 80-85 lbs taking into account the parts that were removed.

I'm using the oem hydraulic tensioner, but yes that's basically it. Maybe a larger air filter as well, but I'm not sure. I have 1600+ miles on the kit now with no complaints. I would definitely recommend it.

No real updates as I've been pretty busy, but I did order some parts to get it ready for track season.

Ordered some PFC 08 pads and Motul 600 (last time at the track I boiled my brakes every session). I also order a Setrab oil cooler with all Setrab fittings, black SS lines, and the VAC adapter. I haven't had any cooling issues with the stock oil cooler, but I don't like how the oil cooler and intercooler are arranged. I'm going to put the new oil cooler behind the kidney grills like the ESS kits and move the intercooler forward to get all the air from the lower grill.

I'll also be getting the P3 vent gauge so I can monitor IAT (without having my laptop in the passenger seat) before dropping another $1100 on an aquamist meth kit.

Forgot to post an update from the track day. Oil temps stayed right at 230 degrees with the new Setrab. The only problem I had was a little oil coming out of the vent plug of the SC, though it was still at the max level when I checked. Also, the new PFC pads still started to fade after 20 minutes; going to have to look at some form of ducting.

The kit has 3k miles on it now and is running strong.

I also took out and bypassed the water reservoir for the air-to-water system; saving about 25lbs off the front end. Now I'm just waiting on the P3 gauge to ship.

Arent you worried about heak soak by removing the aftercooler? Seems the power lost and weight savings would be worse than sustaining power and an additional 25 pounds, no?

I should have clarified. The system has an additional ~2 gallons of coolant in a reservoir under the car (E46 M3 setup). I just removed the reservoir and ran the lines straight to the intercooler (E9X M3 setup). The system still works the same way (just with half the fluid in the system) and should provide the same cooling.

Catless is lost too.

Red line: cat oem, Oem Xpipe, terminals Supersprint Race

Green line: catless, Xpipe Supersprint, terminals Supersprint Race

Black line: how the green line with 50% meth 50% water (start 2psi, full pression 6 psi)

The gain (6000-8000) not compensates for the loss (4000-6000).

For this reason.

Catless effectiveness depends on DME (crossing valves time). I hope that your DME is in tune.

mine is not.

Oh, ok; didn't know you were comparing catless. Interesting results. I wonder what mine is putting out now.
