2000 BMW M Roadster Convertible

BIMMERPOST / Classifieds
Asking Price:
USD 1.00

Location:
✓ Will Ship

Item Interest
Up for sale is my 2000 BMW M Roadster (Z3M) with S52 M engine. I purchased the car in July 2014 from a dealer. I am the second owner and the previous owner was a much older gentleman. The paint is Estoril Blue and the Interior is Estoril Blue and Black.

I would like to have the car sold within the next 30 days.

I have gone to great lengths to improve this car while retaining a stock appearance. Below is a list of items that I have installed in the car within the last 1,500 miles:

1. Bimmerworld Z3M Front Suspension Overhaul Kit - $500 plus labor
-Powerflex Polyurethane Bushings
-Strut mounted Z3M/M3 swaybar links
-Z3M/M3 Arms

2. Bilstein Front and Rear Sport Shocks for Z3M

3. H&R Front and Rear Sport Springs - $870 for springs and shocks plus labor

4. Strut Tower Reinforcement Plates

5. Dinan Strut Bar - $400

6. Meyle Heavy Duty Rear Shock Mounts

7. Heavy Duty Rear shock mount reinforcement plates

8. ESM 18" alloy wheels model: ESM-004 with Continental DWS Tires - $1,661
-Front Wheels:18x8
-Rear Wheels: 18x9
-Front Tires: 235/40/18
-Rear Tires: 275/35/18

9. Cooling System
-BMW Thermostat Housing (aluminum)
-Graf Water Pump (with aluminum impeller)
-Upper and Lower radiator hoses
-Behr Thermostat
-BMW Expansion tank
-Brass coolant bleeder screw
-BMW coolant

10. BMW Valve Cover Gasket Set

11. BMW Head Gasket

12. Bosch FR7LDC+ Yttrium Spark Plugs

13. ZHP Shift Knob

15. Entire sound system tastefully revamped and professionally installed (have the receipt) - no visible signs of aftermarket equipment other than the radio - Also have all original radio components in operating condition that will be included with vehicle - $1,800
-Pioneer DEH-X9600BHS Bluetooth ready, streams music and phone calls via bluetooth, XM capable and matches interior lighting, 2 USB ports
-Professionally installed JL audio speakers, tweeters, and amplifiers (to replace factory speakers and factory amplifier

16. New OEM BMW M Mats - $100

17. Differential fluid replaced with redline

18. Transmission fluid replaced with redline

19. OEM BMW front and rear emblems replaced

20. Clear side bumper markers

21. driver and passenger door handle gaskets replaced

22. seat bushings have been replaced with Delrin bushings and mechanisms have been regreased

The car is in excellent running condition. There are small dents in various locations throughout the car. I received an estimate to remove all dents. Estimated cost is $500

The car has a clean carfax and there are no signs that the car has ever been involved in an accident. All panels, doors, and hood have matching vin numbers.

The car has had a clear bra installed since new. I have removed the clear bra as their life span is only about 10 years and it began to crack due to age.

The drivers side seat bolster was worn as is typical of these cars. I had the bolster professionally repaired at a cost of $450

The convertible top is motorized and is in excellent working condition

When I received the car, the glovebox suffered from the typical "sag." This has been repaired.

I have the original wheels with tires. The original wheels need to be refinished but are in great structural condition. The wheels also have tires on them with approximately 50% life left.

The car was purchased with 109,000 miles and now has 112,500 miles. It has been garage kept since I purchased the car and am told that it was garage kept most of its life. There are no signs of rust.

If I were keeping the car there are 2 things I would fix:

1. I would fix the dents mentioned above.
2. I would replace the passenger seatbelt receiver. Apparently the sensor in the receiver is faulty and thus the airbag light is on. I am told that the airbag still deploys, the car just thinks the passenger is not belted in.

I am sure that I am forgetting other bits I have done to the car and will update this post as I remember them. If you have any questions, please text or call me at 919-812-8784. Thank you.

Awesome car, anyone would be lucky to own this. I've owned a 98, 99, and 00 ///M roadster, and an 01 ///M Coupe. They are fantastic little machines, and still turn heads on the road. With a drop and fat tires in the rear, they look like little steam rollers going down the road.

Just make sure that rear diff is welded on tight, and you're set. These have to be one of the best cars on the road for the money right now, and yours has the awesome two tone interior. Somebody needs to buy this!

Oh edit, just noticed you have the convertible top cover too for when the top is down. None of mine EVER came with that, very nice option for the new owner.

If you haven't listed this car on Bimmerforums, you should. There's a large E36/7 loving community there.
