STROMUNG Exhuast for Z4M's
Hey guys.... I finally got my prototype STROMUNG exhaust(cans) installed last Saturday. The fitment took all day and 2 months to custom build the prototype... VERY pleased... STROMUNG has been building exhausts for quite some time.
Let me tell you... fit and qualtiy is really nice. The sound is deep as Scott from Stromung has done a fine job of the sound tune. Alot of the rasp is gone and just BASS!! Under WOT, the feel and sound is amazing. I defintely feel the midrange has improved as well as the top end, very free flowing. I am very pleased with the overall quality, fit and finish... as well as the sound. We are going to do some more fine tuning on the sound as well. As we all know exhaust's do not give us too much of a performance upgrade, but the final production model should be around 5-6 HP gain. I will post pictures and video soon... Have already shown the exhaust to some and they have been impressed.... BTW, I will be at Bimmerfest for any of you guys wanting to check out the Stromung exhaust. The retail price has not been set but will definetly come in under $1000 for BOTH cans. Stay tuned for a group buy... As many of you know, I have also been working with aFe on the intake for the Z4M's. The production model should be manufactured by Bimmerfest and I will have it installed on the car by Bimmerfest... The combination of the two should make for a superb feel, sound and power!!

Hey guys, here are some pics of the exhaust being installed and right after... I still need to get the sound clips up. The tone has gotten a bit deeper... like it. I will try to make time this week to get the sound clips up... For anyone coming to Bimmerfest, can check out the car then too...

Will do... I personally think the Stromung sounds amazing... I've heard Supersprints, Eisennmann, Remus, even the Fast Intentions (LA Bulls) exhuast, and the Stromung is by far the deepest, IMHO. I already have talked to Scott at Stromung in regards to a group buy... I will get sound clips up soon, but its sorta hard for me on weekdays. Bimmerfest would be a perfect day for me to do it... Who's all coming??? You'll see me there and can hear and feel the exhaust firsthand...

The before and after dyno numbers are paper impressive. I would like to see some before and after time slips from a drag strip. That's real seat of the pants, not paper seat of the pants data. How about it?? |

Congrats- I think it looks nice and you like it which is most important. As a matter of my personal preference I like the thinner exhaust tips vs those.
BTW, the FI exhaust being built now is different from Labulls and aims to be deeper in tone which seems to be what we all want. I am glad to hear there is now another option for a nice sounding exhaust- post your soundclips when you get a chance and congrats once again!

Not yet, as we wanted to get the cans on as soon as possible. STROMUNG has my stock exhaust cans and doing some minor tweaking on the end product. I will get some numbers as soon as I can. The STROMUNG will weigh much less than the stock for sure... how much? I'll have to weigh it...

If it sounds as good as it looks, I'm in! I love the tips!
