I'm not knocking you man. It could just be that your m is really strong compared to other z4m, but I can't honestly see the Procede 335i that usually dynos at around 330-340rwhp and 360-380lbs of torque is beaten so easily by the z4m. Maybe your 335i is fully loaded like and you had a full tank of gas etc so it's slow. Also know that autos are sometimes weaker and tad bit slower than 6mt.

My Brother's 335i Procede 6MT is an example, he toys with regular vettes all day long, not z06. I'm not saying he beats them like crazy, but roughly 1-2cl from 30-40 roll.

Just don't f up the 1-2 shifts, and you'll be OK

Sorry, mate... just had to poke fun at an otherwise heated (and useless) argument. Let's all be happy with what we've got... and then knock on 'em Mercs.

I have an idea. Lets take your 325i out for a drive next to my M and see which one is faster. Get real man. Everyone knows there is more to the M cars than straight line speed. That's why the M3 costs so much more than the 335i. Not cuz you can't match its straight line speed, cuz you can't match its track performance. Check the official nuerburgring times from BMW and you'll see which car is faster.

I'm not even sure how this thread got so outta hand. Artz just took his cars out for a ride and let us know the results. I'm sure Artz would be the last one to say his M car is especially well put together with all the issues he's had with it.

Conclusion...335i lovers, keep loving it, but don't come to the land of M Coupe with your in hand.

it was the 3-4 shift Duh!! lol

Btw. Both my my friends also own 335i sedans and they are 6 speed. And my 335i auto is dead even with both of them Stock VS Stock.. Newer autos are put together so well that sometimes they are even faster than 6mt, For example. Look at some of the porsche's. Reality is the 335i even with procede is slower than the M Coupe. The only dynos we have seen were the cars that were actually dynoed at vishnu. I Cant wait to dyno my 335 now... Because in all honesty I dont think it puts down as much power as Vishnu claims. Either that or the product they make is so F'ed up and I have it in my car..

Well let me just swap the engines that will add an extra 125hp and roughly 190lbs more torque and I'll do pinks with ya. We're not talking about stock here funny man.

Artz I'm not knocking the z4m because I'd love to have one and we all know that it takes more than power to go fast around the track, but we're talking about straight line here. Like I said maybe you just have a really fast z4m like one of the member on here that has a stock m3 doing I think 12.9 on the 1/4.

ahaha...Yeah I'm in Boston. And my M would KILL your 325i.

Actually I think the only way to give a fair comparison of 2 cars is stock vs stock. Anyone can spend the money to get ricerw3rks (vishnu) to tune their turbo. Just remember it voids your warrenty...and that there is only so much 3.0 liter can take.

I know, but did you know that we've been talking about a modded 335i against a stock z4m all this time? I'd be stupid not to know that stock for stock the z4m is the faster car straight line or track.

Yeah I know we're talking PROcede 335 vs Z4M stock. And the MC Coupe still out ran it, albeit not by much. So I'm not sure where the confusion is coming in.

All I'm trying to say...E90 fans should try making excuses for the "loss". It's just a guy out having fun with his cars. I for one am a fan of the 335i, I just don't see it as the fastest car on the road...maybe I'm a realist.

What I've been saying is that the M Coupe is a faster track car, no matter how fast you make your 335i go in a straight line. And that shouldn't make an E90 lover sad...it is what it is. A sporty sedan/coupe. The M Coupe is a pure sports car, that's what it was made to do. You can't have it all...at least you guys get a back seat...some days I'd kill for that

As much fun as it is to drive the wife's 335i on weekends, it's always a joy to get back to the Z4MR on Mondays - the Z4MR does things the 335i can't.

One thing that is keeping me up is two members both 335ic w/ Procede on the forum said they raced the e60 m5 and was head to head with the m5 up to about 100mph.

I ran a 12.9 too when I first got my car I think with a nice set of sticky tires I can hit 12.7 around 111-112

If I wanted something with a back seat I would have bought the wife that cayenne she really wants. I figured I should get a hot car while I'm still young and hot myself. The 335i is a nice car, but I wouldn't call it hot.

Doesn't marriage modify 'hot' in practicality to relative obscurity?
