Sweet, thanks. Glad you are going with the 3 1/4" Eisenmann tip style. I would have already bought that exhaust if it weren't for the cost...$2300 for only mufflers is a little ridiculous IMO.

The price is not set, and for the GB will be even better.

Can't wait for this exhaust system. I've been putting off my exhaust purchase for a while. Excellent job Dio! It must have been a long journey to get here and I've been watching this thread since the beginning.

Not pushy but I hope the group buy will start/close before X'mas so I'll be out of money to buy gifts for THE relatives...

Will be in less than 30 days. The only wait is test fit the new x pipe after the changes we made. Hopefully I will have the last dyno run as well.

It's an old post but I think TheBroker needs to go back to school if you don't understand a decrease in flow velocity given a larger diameter exhaust.

Never said I did not understand, this was taken in consideration and the size we chose was the most adequate while maintaining thermal efficiency. I don't think we need to get on this and elaborate more since many factors were examined when we designed this. it's all about the product and it's functionality on the end.

Diokaef I was totally agreeing with you (not the other guy)!
Looks like a great product!
How will weight compare to OEM?

I thought was the same guy, my bad.

The weight varies from system configuration but is definately less than OEM.

Looks awesome! Will the group buy be for an entire system, certain components, or both? Def interested in the x-pipe and possibly more.

The GB will be by sections. example: Sec 1 S-pipe with cats/resonators/bypass pipe and Sec 2 X-pipe and mufflers.

Yes. What is the cell count of the available cats? Do you anticipate having to push in any of the heat shield to avoid rattling? Do the resonators have O2 and EGT bungs? Do the quick releases utilize gaskets? Will the system come with all gaskets necessary or will we be instructed to purchase oem gaskets (like for the header). And have you actually tried to connect and remove the cats with removing and reinstalling the sensors. It seems it might be a bit tricky with having enough slack and the wires twisting too much during install. Seems you would have to install the O2 bungs first while pretwisting the wires in the opposite direction to avoid over twisting the wires when the sensor screw on and THEN connect the pipes last. The EGT sensor is easy since it doesn't twist the wire when u tighten it.

The cell count is 100 and 300, Yes the heat shield may need to be pushed a little if you use the big resonators. the resonators don't have O2 bungs and the EGT is on the S-pipe but is not shown on the one in the picture. No gaskets needed on the full system but if you keep the OEM X-pipe or S-pipe you need OEM gaskets. OEM header gasket will be the most recomended.

Removing the O2 sensor is not difficult because you can twist the cat itself before conecting with the quick release on the full system but is a bit trick ifyou keep the OEM X-pipe because you would have to atach to the oem X-pipe first.

I hope this answer your questions.

Thanks! I really hope I like the sound.

Did you try fitting resonators in the first part of the S pipe? In my former E46 setup I had resonators AND cats in the S pipe to limit the rasp.

Also will you accept any special requests during the group buy (for additional cost of course) For example: adding a resonator somewhere in the piping. This may be unnecessary but I'm just asking in case the raspiness is still a bit much for me. I understand special requests may be too difficult to add but I thought I'd ask.

With the full system we found no rasp at all because of the long resonators. Also we will have a set of resonated mufflers what sounds really nice.

Thanks. For us California guys the risk or running catless is not worth the heavy fines. My interest is in the sound with the 300 cell cats.

Also I don't see the need to add extra resonators with the cats. This will be in production what make us not able to add special request. Sorry

The 300 cell is made to fit our x-pipe but also the OEM x-pipe, the 100 cell will only be sold to be used with our x pipe.
