Is an alignment needed when replacing rear dust sleeve?
Hey all,
The other day I was driving my '04 3.0i around and was noticing a little noise coming from the rear. Upon inspection, it appears my dust sleeve (p/n 33521136283) is being squished under compression, and now looks like an accordion. Best I can work out what happened is when I installed koni yellows this summer I must have biffed up putting this on correctly Anyways, since this car is going to be used this winter (and the part is relatively easy to replace), I was wondering if an alignment is necessary after replacing the part, as I have to remove the shock. If I remember correctly, the camber and toe adjustments are independent of the shock, but I want to make sure replacing a $5 part would or would not require an extra $100 to align the car. Worst case scenario, I wait to replace the sleeve until next year and get the car aligned right before autocross starts up again
