Does anyone have a recommendation for or against welding the reinforcement plates in? I have quotes for the repair in massively varied price ranges depending on the shop I've talked with (Anywhere between $350 and $1000). I'm thinking that so long as everything is kept tight that welding the plates to the towers is probably not required and it would add a good deal to the cost

This is mainly a KW issue.
Most camber plates have studs that are long enough.

Welding is not necessary.
The added strength around the stud location comes from the thicker metal.

If it was the whole tower that was flexing, then welding would be beneficial.

Send KW an email, they have longer studs available.

I don't have KW coilovers. I'm running Bilstein B12's on oem mounts right now, debating ground control plates but not yet decided. Will get it fixed and see how the budget is. Still need to investigate why my struts were not matched for camber side to side.

Well, the bad news is that the strut tower brace is officially NLA. Tischer just emailed and cancelled my order. Guess I'll be looking for a used one or going aftermarket!
