Im sorry for your loss...

If you track and just love your car, what Id do is strip to frame, repaint frame, weld a cage, rebuild engine, and racecar.

Just be glad that you nothing happened to you when you were in the car and you walked away okay. Cars can be replaced.

I'm in Baltimore for work. I saw you on the morning news! They showed your car getting pushed and I just cringed at knowledge that it was a coupe. I was hoping it wasn't an m but I guess this thread confirms it. They interviewed you, right?

Terrible story, sorry for your loss. But I guess I'll say it... Starting the car when the water is 4 inches below the window sounds like one of the worst ideas ever. The car was pretty much done for at that point already, but wouldn't it have been a little better to not hydro lock the motor too?

I hope I'm not coming across as being a dick... Just trying to understand and learn.

didn't even think about it never been in that situation before so just ran to get it out. in hindsight probably should have just pushed it the whole way backwards but as they say it's 20/20.
