Need VT2-525 stats/feedback

Has anyone taken their VT2-525+ car to the drag strip? I'm interested in what kind of trap speeds you're seeing. Also what your dyno is showing.

I've been running a 2.87" pulley on my VT2-500, and was really dissapointed that the trap speed was only 110, compared to 117 on my stock pulley. I guess the belt slip is a lot worse than I thought.

are you seeing lots of belt dust?

swapping to the smaller pull on the s/c and not changing out some of the others i think i giving you lots of belt slip, best way is to get a dyno surely???

are you carless too? you'd expect some decent HP but clearly something is a miss.

Yeah lots of belt dust. I'm on my second belt. The pulley offset is custom to match the research I did online, but its off by 1mm and eating belts. I'm going back to stock pulley.

Yes catless

Haven't dynoed yet but the trap speed tells me a lot about the power output. Its gotta be under 400rwhp peak

Yeah I considered it, but it would probably slip anyway, and the belt dug some extra grooves into the custom pulley. So not sure if its usable.
Might try though. Can't get it off without an air gun though

I get around 9.4 psi when its cold outside and around 9 when it is cold. George would probably know the answer to rwhp since he has been on the dyno so many times.

Gotcha. My shop will get me a 1psi bigger crank pulley since only the bigger 3.22inch blower pulley is available. And i think a few people are on 3.125inch blower pulley but ess says it will slip. Aiming for above 430rwhp
