Did I strip the rear seat mount bolts / nuts?
I installed my seat, was super solid, felt great. Took if out to make some adjustments, then re-installed it. Was getting dark and light was poor, might have stripped the rear seat mount nuts and/or bolts.
When I reinstalled the seat, I felt some play that was not there before. Yanked left and right on the seat and the bolts came loose. Not just one, but both! Ack! Is there a way to fix this if they are stripped? I have a track day this weekend =/ Any help much appreciated. Cheers, Eamonn |

Above my pay grade to answer since these are so integral to safety. Especially on track. My two cents get a reputable indy / race shop to address the issue.

Taking it to my capable Indy tomorrow, likely get 2 helicoils put in (one for sure). I have used these in the past and agree when installed correctly they are excellent.

We're in business!
Indy says not stripped, they chased the threads, installed new bolts; they do racing fabrications as well, so I trust them. Off to the races! (literally leaving now for a 7 hour drive to the track hehe) |
