It all depends on what you're doing with the rest of the exterior. That's mine down below. I went with hyperblack cause its not QUITE as shiny as hypersilver and I thought it complimented my carbon fiber accents as well as my silver exhaust tips and front splitter support rods.

An all black theme looks good too but in my opinion if you're going to go with 19s (on the bigger side) you really want them to pop so I vote silver.

Just my .02. Good luck!

Edit: Also, whatever you do make sure you have some rim protection from the tires. I had 19" VMR V710s on my previous 3.0si coupe with Faulken 452s in the size recommended by VMR (don't remember the size exactly). They looked good but the tires were narrow and offered no rim protection. Made parallel parking terrifying.

If you go too wide you'll end up with this issue. Do a search for recommended wheel and tire sizes and offsets. Lots of good info here.

+1 on hyperblack but keep in mind Apex doesn't even make a 19" wheel. Reason I'm opposed to 19's is

a) tires are expensive
b) makes your calipers look TINY
c) the ride quality will be worse
d) the rims will be heavier than 18"

I'm not a fan of the LM's and CCW's. LM's are overpriced imo (unless you find a good deal used) and CCW's always look cool at first but I noticed owners tend to get bored with them quick and eventually try to flip them.

Apex makes the exacted wheel to our car's size. Everyone else you have to go up to a 19 in order to get the off set's right. I love my Apex EC-7's. The Race Silver is not as bright as Hyper Silver so with all the black I have it makes the car pop out just right.

As far as Blue with Black wheels, I personally am not a big fan of that, great for racing the car, keeping the dirt down, and other utility uses, for show, go with the bling, that's my thing.

But that's just MHO - Its your car, make it look "Righteous" to you.

Alloy finish all the way... Black wheels look like shit IMO, just as bad as chrome

No offense to folks with black wheels...

I've had both on a different car, and honestly I prefer the silver look... Yes, they're much more difficult to keep clean but I think it's worth it.

I also agree with DSC_OFF on the 19s...

Here we go again. I prefer 19". Apex is played out if you want to be unique.

- Quality 19" are lighter than OEM/cheaper 18". Of course they will be slightly heavier than 18" of the same type. Will they be the deciding factor in shaving a second off your lap time? No.

- Ride quality depends on your tire, NOT 1" difference in wheel diameter. My 19" Hankooks ride better than the 18" OEM contis.

- If it were a choice between flat black and silver, I'd do silver. If it were a choice between my gorgeous dark gun metallic Advans and silver, I'd go with mine

I was also wondering about 9.5in in front. Is it possible with the right offset or is it going to rub?

I've heard this type of comment numerous time about various vehicles and setups. It may not be unique on this forum or even in the BMW community but I don't see Apexs rolling around 50 times a day...not 20 times a day...not 2 times a week. Honestly, never unless I'm at a CCA event. They're a nice light wheel at a good price and they look good.

Ditto - I have yet to see the first Z4 down here with a set of Apex Racing wheels. I have seen a few M3's with CSL's but not another Z4, much less a M Roady.

A lot of us run 9.5 in the front. Increased negative camber, as I understand it, is a must. I have coilovers and camber plates with -2.9 in the front.

Not trying to thread-jack, but does that camber have any negative effects on the wear of the tires?

Definitely. For me it wasn't a factor though because I don't drive my car very many miles and I was most interested in performance and handling. For anyone daily driving it is definitely a factor to consider. By the time the insides of my tires are worn down in a few years I'll be ready for something new anyway.

id personally go dark grey if possible. anyone who has seen my car has literally seen my car with the following wheel colors :white, silver, black, blue, now matte black.

a "glossy" black is a bit much (imo), and the contrast with a silver is really nice (for example the oem wheels). maybe the best bet is to meet somewhere in the middle (grey?)

do not put camber on a daily driver!! my e46 has just under 5 degrees in the rear, which is extreme, to fit 18 x 11s et 35 and i can only get about 8k miles on the tires before they are trashed.

Im trying to minimize camber on the z4m, but with stock suspension, will 9.5s fit in the front without rub, maybe with spacers?
