Strut replacement

Looking for some advice on removing left side end link from '03 Z4 3.0 sport.
I removed the 16mm nut but the bolt is angled downwards and won't budge.

Car is jacked up i assume? Tap it increasingly harder with a rubber mallet?

(the anti rollbar is putting stress on the end link)

Yep.

Or, typically you can just unbolt the other end of the endlink that is connected to the swaybar and typically that will work.
