Rogue Engineering Trans Mounts

My RE transmission mounts should be here today! So excited to install them. I will be posting a review once I have time to install them. Already added the ZHP shift knob a few days ago and its is awesome. Makes shifting easier and smoother. I like the added weight and shortened height. Cant wait to pair it with these trans mounts

I definitely think its going to be worth it. I think alot of the jerkiness in the 1 to 2 shifting and the 2nd gear denial sometimes is the transmission torquing because the trans mounts are not stiff enough. We will see

Yep, experienced it a couple of times during my first time out auto-x on the launches...I just do the heartbeat method now.

Slight pause from 1-2...a heartbeat pause.

Good video of me doing it. You see the front end go down, pause...shift.

And yes, the launch sucked

It will help, but not completing eliminate, the 3rd to 2nd denial.

To really address that fully you'd need a transmission and engine mount change with poly mounts. The engine moves around as well with the stock mounts.

Those who have gone this route say it works, even on the track. However, the NVH is going to be pretty much race-car level, and you'd need ear plugs to drive the car on the street. (Just having red poly transmission mounts drove me crazy due to the the NVH and I changed those out to Rogue neoprene--and I'm happy with the Rogue).

This issue is explored in this sticky that compiles the results of a lot of forum members and threads.

Did any of you have to drop your exhaust to get to the trans brace or am I missing something here?

Try this DIY from Bill's Webspace. Also this one from Blind32. Hopefully it will help you wrap this up.

I hate being under a car on my back. As soon as I graduate and get a house I will be purchasing a lift. The best investment any car person could make IMO

Ok so I got the mounts in. Much more solid than the stock POS hourglass mounts. First impressions are the shifting is much smoother and the car just feels more solid. Haven't had a chance to drive it much I'm working on the coilovers as we speak. I will a good review tomorrow

So I drove the car around today and these trans mounts are much better than factory. Much stiffer, transmission doesnt jerk when going 1-2 and 2-3, and NVH is atleast the same as factory if not actually better. Very happy with these mounts I highly recommend them. The mounts combined with Pennzoil Synchromesh, CDV delete, clutch stop, and ZHP knob it takes an unbearable shifting experience to an enjoyable one. It has changed the car completely
