You should check the section 1 of your exhaust for cats (I haven't looked into it). If you have "secondary cats" (cats in section 1 as well as in your headers) you can weld an O2 sensor bung for the secondary O2 sensors right after the section 1 cats and the car shouldn't throw a code. I haven't heard of anyone doing this for the non-M Z4's, but if you check the M54 3-series forums you might find more info about it. S54 guys use the same trick to get around the SES light without buying a sim or tune.

The 02 sensor harness was cut loose from the loom holding it to the rest of the wiring. This frees up a lot of length. So you can relocated it behind the secondary cats without having to cut or add length to the wires.
