Opinions on Kidney Beans and Ham Hocks

I am due for some new tires soon and plan to go with Michelin PSS tires. If I stick with 18", I'll probably stay with stock wheels. If I go to 19" tires, I'll probably go with a CSL-style wheel. I know a lot have them, but I like them, too. Sometimes the crowd is right. Wheels will be silver either way for my Interlagos Blue with black roof Z4MR. Car will not be tracked or autocrossed, but enjoy the handling of the car and don't want to ruin that. H&R Coilovers will likely be installed in the future when the stock suspension begins to deteriorate from wear and tear.

I'd like to get your opinion on what you think looks best with the attached poll.
Thanks in advance!

I voted for 18" and chrome only because that's what I have now But I've been debating whether I should change the chrome into a darker shade (gun metal, black chrome, etc.)

There have been a few discussions on this forum on 18's vs 19's. I wanted 19's but was concerned about the ride quality. Followed Dubsed's recommendation of pairing PSS's with a LIGHTWEIGHT 19" wheel. I will probably get flamed by some members for this but I found the ride quality to be excellent. So, if you choose 19"...pair it with a light wheel.

IMO black grilles on the interlagos looks sweet. I think 18's are perfect, but then again I haven't seen 19's on this car in person. I always think 19's look too big on the car when I see them in pictures, but it might look nicer in person.

Not sure if this helps, but a similar setup on my car. Likely moving to Apex Arc-8 CSL style wheels myself.

You know there's a group buy on that right now for $200 off? It closes later this month. Check out the sponsored classifieds section.

I went with the 19" HRE Flow Forms earlier this year and have to say I love them. I also swapped out the suspension with Bilstein Coil Overs and Ground Control Swaybars "MED" front and rear. That just made it all come together.
As a note I did go with a 12mm spacer on the rear, and I have not had any scrubbing at all.

It was a bit more than the apex, but I did see someone selling the HRE's for $2000 for a set.

Thanks, B_Dol. What size wheels are those?

Thanks, DEG. Glad to hear the 19's are working for you.

19 for show, 18 for go.

I ran 19s when I had my roadster before the track bug bit, but am sticking with 18s on my coupe (dual purpose setup)

I just went through this whole thread with tons of pictures of 19's:
http://www.zpost.com/forums/showthread.php?t=119677

I have to say I'm falling in love with that look now and want to change my vote. 18's look kind of small now, lol. It seems like more people had 19's back in the day. Original owners were more show than go, but with the 2nd and 3rd owners you get more driving enthusiasts who are running 18's. Just my guess.
