welcome!
color is absolutely personal taste, so you'll get a lot of different answers... personally, i like all of the metallic colors. metallic paint just seems to highlight the curves of the car a little better.

I have silver, I love it but I would've preferred the darker grey in your pictures (graphite grey or space grey or charcoal grey) haha sorry I don't know it's real name

Some cars just have to be black... M-Coupe is one of them.
Just be prepared to wash it a lot.

Silver gray shows no dirt. Ever.
Your rims will turn brown though, be prepared. |

Sepang Bronze.
I don't think this thread is going to help make up your mind, as a lot of us feel very strongly about our choice of color. I spent months looking a z4m in bronze since I was so set on the color, and it's one of the least popular colors. The most common color by far is black. Here's a breakdown of how many were sold in each color of the M coupes in the US. Note that Space Gray was only an option for 2008 cars: 592 black sapphire 297 interlagos blue 212 titanium silver 209 silver gray 204 imola red 148 alpine white 68 sepang bronze 48 space gray 36 monaco blue 1 carbon black

For track days, something with high visibility like red or white would be ideal. For a daily driver, one of the silver/grey shades would require the least washing and waxing while still looking good. For weekend/pleasure driving, black or one of the dark blues is good - their high maintenance requirements won't annoy when they aren't driven as much, and they make for a dramatic arrival when pulling up to pick up a date or arriving at a club and artificial light plays upon the car's lines. |

Silver grey ('06-'07) and Space grey ('08) were the mid tone metallic greys. Sepang Bronze, Imola Red, Interlagos Blue were M only colors Deep Green was also available on the 3.0si but is very rare. |

the very first coupe pictured above is an SI, so the color must be Montego Blue.

I've always had a thing for the blue. I passed a 3.0si coupe in that color and nearly crashed trying to crane my neck around to watch it for an extra couple seconds.

Nope, I think the Z3 was the same way. No 'little engine' version of the coupe, at least in the US. Also there shouldn't be any coupes with black headlights.

I am not sure I would worry about what color to get. Every damn Zed looks good no matter what the color.
I would be more concerned about if it has the options you want and what shape it is in. No matter what color you get, your gonna fall in love with it and then you will become color-biased like the rest of us. I have the '06 Silver-Gray and I really like it, but there are so many pictures on this forum of other colors that also make me drool.

The light silver above is: Titanium Silver.
The dark silver looks like: Silver Grey (stratus grey and space grey are much blacker) I personally think the coupe looks best in either of the silvers you show ... I probably like Titanium Silver the best. The only downside is that every other car on the road today is silver (or black). |
