M Coupe Painting

Who would be interested if this Chap made us a M Coupe Painting??

FWD:

Here's how the process works:

First we need to decide what angle would be best, i.e. head on, or side view, or 3/4 view, etc. Then once we know that, we'll discuss what colors you'd like in the print. Then I'll do a bunch of image research, and a digital mockup of the print, email that to you and get your approval. Once you approve, I'll actually make the stencils and make your print.

Now, I normally charge $200 for a custom print, + $15 for S.H. So if you have multiple people who want to buy a print, then that can lower the cost of the print for each person. For example, if there are 2 people definitely buying a print, it'll be $100 each, and at most the prints will go down to $50 each if there are 4 or more people who are going to buy the print.

So we just need some ideas and at least 4 people. Some examples are seen below.

So it's a print, not a painting. I'd be in for painting, not print at that price. But actually I could probably just paint one myself if I had some free time. Hmm, maybe that could be a winter hobby.

I like the E30 M3 frontal 3/4 view. Should do something like that for the M coupe and slap it onto a t-shirt

Well he uses stencils. At 50 bucks a pop that didn't sound all bad to me.

This is how he does it...

My name is Christopher Holewski, and I make stencils. I've been creating artwork using stencils for many years, and I've developed a great love for designing stencils, x-acto knives, and spray paint.
All of the prints on this website are made with great care and effort. I design each stencil based on a photograph. I then transfer the design to a laminate, and cut out the stencil. I then spray paint each color, to end up with the finished print.
The name Manual Designs was choosen for its dual meaning. It referes to the manual transmission of a car, as well as the manual labor that is put into making every single print.
I hope you enjoy my art, and thank you very much for your interest in my work.

I just thought these were cool and would pay $50 for one but not $200

Yeah that's not bad at all. If I were to do oil or acrylic painting, depending on size I'd charge 1k or even more.

$50 depending on size seems right, but are they all hand made or is he making one original and then the others are prints?

Because of the process I think that each one is hand made by reusing the stencils. To do prints he'd have to make plates, which would probably be more expensive as it's more labor intensive.

Yup, that's the same rate my mum charges for something this size.

So you artsy types! What do you think for layout ? I think the 3/4 view is the obvious and the m stripes.

Oh, and from an artistic perspective, YES on the 3/4 view of the Z4M with the M stripes over the top. Very "ad art."

Interesting pics. I'd been thinking about writing Guy Allen to see what he'd charge for a drawing of my Z3 and Z4 next to each other.

I can do something like this for free if you give me enough time. That poster is a little too dark to use for a tracing though.
