I'm crazy enough to get the CSL one... but I can't justify that without doing some serious motorwork. THAT thing sounds INSANE.

Drive around someplace with lots of rain, like Florida, and it's only a matter of time until this "Hoover" you've installed turns your engine into a hydrolocked lump of garbage.

Your stock intake takes in cold air, it has been carefully tuned and engineered to perform in this particular application, and to filter air reliably. Why mess with this for the sake of a few HP? Is it the "look", the "sound"? Maybe I'm just getting too old.

i netted a gain of about 20 HP between redoing the engine mapping and replacing the stock intake components with the Motorsport intake manifold on my M3. and it sounds amazing to boot...

What happened? Did Roman part that beautiful car out and get rid of it?

There is a group buy going on for the GruppeM in the vendor section for anyone who wanted one.
They dont list a price though.

I saw the group buy and have been interested in this for a while now, but the group buy price is not really much of a discount is it? I know any discount is good, but 3-4% discount is not that significant.

ok, I think my math is just very bad. I was already given a price of $925 delivered to Germany a couple of months ago, so $868 plus shipping did not seem like a huge savings.

If anyone is interested, I've got one in excellent shape that is for a BMW E46 3 series 1999-2005 that I'll sell for $400 shipped anywhere in the continental US.

Regards,
David
